Chapter 5
Cops and Robbers

So Josh, J and Rayne start their journey towards Cloud City.

"What's the best way to get to Cloud City?" Josh asks

"Well, I could fly you there, but I don't think I would be able to talk you both, so I guess we will have to walk most of the way. It's not too far anyway." J says.

"It would be awesome if I had powers too. Then we would be able to get to Cloud City in no time at all." Josh says

"Yeah. But I doubt you have powers. The only people who have powers that I know of are my family who are in Cloud City." J says.

Rayne then looks at J.
"That's not entirely true." Rayne says.

J looks at Rayne with a puzzled look on his face.
"What do you mean? Do you mean to say that there's someone outside of Cloud City who has powers? Tell me, who is it?" J says.
"You remember when we first met in Cloud City? Back when I first fell in love with you?" Rayne says.

"Yeah. What does that have to do with anything?" J says.

"Well, remember how I suddenly left you and came to New York?" Rayne says.

"Yeah. Well, I didn't know you came to New York, but I remember you left me without telling me why. That broke my heart. Would you like to tell me why you left me all of a sudden?" J says.

"Yeah, well. I was scared........ Scared of something........" Rayne says but she is cut off by a loud noise coming from down the road. It was the noise of a police siren.

A police car was chasing a stolen car. Inside the stolen car were a couple of joy rider's who had a little too much to drink and weren't driving straight.

The stolen car was heading straight for Rayne and she was too scared to move.
Just as it was about to hit her, Josh pushes her out the way and gets hit himself and gets flung into the air and he hits a lamppost by the side of the road.

"Josh! Why did you have to do that for?" Rayne says.

The car that hit Josh tries to continue on with its journey to escape the police but somehow it's stopped moving even though the back wheels are turning.
Somehow the back end of the car is floating a few feet off the ground preventing the car from going anywhere.

"What the?" J says.
"Who's doing that?" J says again.

"Aren't you doing that?" Rayne says to J.
"No. I'm not." J says.

"Well. Nor am I," Rayne says.
"What? What do you mean by that?" J says

"Oh. I was about to say. I was scared to tell you that I have powers too. Have had them for years. Nearly all my life. I was too scared to tell you that I had them back when I lived in Cloud City. I was scared you might call me a freak or something." Rayne says.

"You kept that from me? Just because you thought I would call you a freak? I wouldn't. Besides, I've had my powers since my 10th birthday. There was a period of a few years where I totally forgot I had powers because of a traumatic event where I lost my dad." J Says.
"Really? So I didn't have anything to be scared of?" Rayne says.

"Yeah. Now let's go see how Josh is. He must be hurt." J says.

Just as J says that, the car flips over and lands on its roof.

"Whoa. That was extreme." J says.

And then Rayne and J run over to where the lamppost is to see how Josh was.

They are shocked to see him standing up and walking over to them.

"Josh? You're ok?" Rayne says.
But he walks right past Rayne like she doesn't exist.
He then walks over to the car that was flipped over onto its roof and looks at it for awhile.

He then walks over to the Police car and looks at himself in the mirror.

"Holy shit. I look ugly." He says.

Rayne and J walk over to him.
"Are you feeling ok Josh? Do you know who we are?" Rayne asks him.

"Sure I do. He's Josh and you're, Wait. I don't think I know you. At least I don't think I do." He says.

"What? You forgot who I am? My name is Rayne."

"Rayne? Hmmm let me think for a second......... Oh wait. I know you. You're Rayne Newbury. Wow. I haven't seen you in like 3 years. Or was it 4. I lose count." He says.

"What? Josh, are you feeling ok?" Rayne says.

But he remains quiet.
Then he says "Aren't you going to answer her Josh?"

"What? She was talking to you," J says.

"What? But you're Josh. That's not my name." He says.
He then looks in the mirror again.

"Where the heck am I? And why do I look like this?"

He then starts to float in the air.

"What? You have powers now? This makes no sense." Rayne says.

He then starts to glow and then he glows so bright that he cannot be seen anymore. And then the glowing goes away. Then he slowly comes back down to Earth.

J has a shocked look on his face
"No way. It can't be..... Justin? Is that really you?" J says.

"Sure is lil buddy. Now tell me. Where the heck am I and how long I've been gone." Justin says.
